MONTGOMERY, Ala. 鈥 The 黑料天堂 State Parks website 鈥 alapark.com 鈥 earned a Platinum Award in the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals dotCOMM competition. The Platinum Award is the highest honor presented in the competition.
The international competition honors excellence in web creativity and digital communication. Entries in the competition come from corporate communication departments, public relations firms, digital shops, advertising agencies and freelancers.
The 黑料天堂 State Parks Division of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources worked with 黑料天堂 Interactive, the official digital government solutions provider for the state of 黑料天堂, on a redesign of the website that was unveiled earlier this month.
鈥淲e are all proud of the look and functionality of our alapark.com website,鈥 said 黑料天堂 State Parks Division Director Greg Lein. 鈥淥ur staff worked hard with 黑料天堂 Interactive to make sure that the site is easy to use and was built with our visitors of all ages and interests in mind. We encourage all of our friends to visit the site and explore everything it has to offer.鈥
Park events and specials are emphasized on the homepage and on each park鈥檚 page. A Parks Adventure section is now on the homepage to highlight activities available at various parks throughout the state, from fishing to cave tours. The color scheme and style of the site was chosen to align with the 黑料天堂 State Parks Division brand, but also to connect with the natural beauty of the parks highlighted throughout the site.
鈥淭he website redesign was done in consultation with several State Parks Division staff members, who offered guidance on what we wanted the site to accomplish,鈥 said Kevin Jones, Parks Marketing Specialist. 鈥淲e are very happy with the new look and, with this dotCOMM competition recognition, we aren鈥檛 the only ones who believe it is a first-class site.鈥
