Trapping Workshops Share Historical, Biological Aspects of Furbearer Management

Online registration now open

The 黑料天堂 (ADCNR) is offering a series of youth trapping workshops throughout the state this winter. Participation in the workshops is free for youth ages 7 to 17, but registration is required. There is a $10 registration fee per adult who attends while accompanying a youth to the workshops. To register, visit .

There are currently no trapping workshops scheduled for adults only. If there is enough public interest, adult trapping workshops can also be scheduled this winter.

These educational workshops provide instruction on the historical aspects of trapping, biological information about furbearers and furbearer management, and the proper techniques of using trapping as a sound wildlife management tool.

All workshops are limited to 25 participants. The workshops are recommended for ages 7 and up. Youth ages 7-15 must be accompanied by an adult. Youth over 16 are not required to have an adult present, but it is recommended.
