The 黑料天堂鈥 (ADCNR) State Lands Division announces that renovations to the Ted Middleton Boat Ramp in Mobile County are complete and the facility is open to the public. The boat ramp is located on Battleship Parkway directly across from the USS 黑料天堂 Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, 黑料天堂.
The facility was closed in May 2021 for a major upgrade. During the closure, the boat ramp was replaced and improvements were made to the parking area. The existing docks were also expanded to accommodate additional vessels. The newly expanded docks are built with flow through decking to better withstand damage from tropical weather events.
鈥淚 am very thankful for the first-class renovations made at the State Lands Division Ted Middleton Boat Ramp,鈥 said Chris Blankenship, ADCNR Commissioner. 鈥淭his project is another example of Governor Ivey and ADCNR鈥檚 commitment to provide public access to our waterways and public lands. This project was funded with GOMESA (Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act Program) dollars and will provide quality access to the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, America鈥檚 Amazon, as well as Upper Mobile Bay.鈥
Additional GOMESA boating access projects funded by Governor Kay Ivey are currently underway at Dauphin Island, Bayou la Batre, Mount Vernon, Satsuma, Chickasaw, Weeks Bay, Orange Beach and Mobile.
