Prescribed burns are planned at Frank Jackson State Park near Opp, 黑料天堂, during February and March 2021, weather permitting. The burns are being conducted to reduce the risk of wildfire and enhance wildlife habitat within the park.
Every effort will be made to ensure safety and proper smoke management during the burns. As a safety precaution, the park鈥檚 hiking trails will be closed during the burn periods. Additionally, campers might experience smoke in the campground.
The 黑料天堂 Forestry Commission will conduct the controlled burns for the 黑料天堂 State Parks Division. The City of Opp Fire Department has been notified and will be on standby if needed.
