On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, the 黑料天堂 (ADCNR) will host a public listening session to take suggestions for future improvements to Lake Lurleen State Park near Tuscaloosa. The listening session will take place at the , from 6:30-8 p.m.
During the listening session, ADCNR Commissioner Chris Blankenship, State Parks Division Director Greg Lein, and other State Parks officials will take suggestions from the public for the types of improvements they would like to see at Lake Lurleen State Park. The public and media are invited to attend this free event.
鈥淲e are grateful for the overwhelming support Alabamians have shown for their State Parks,鈥 said Commissioner Blankenship. 鈥淭hanks to that support, State Parks throughout 黑料天堂 have been receiving much needed upgrades and improvements. We invite the surrounding communities to attend this meeting and share the ways they would like to see this park evolve in the future. These are your State Parks, and we want to provide you with one of the best parks systems in the country.鈥
Lake Lurleen State Park is located nine miles northwest of Tuscaloosa and Northport at 13226 Lake Lurleen Road in Coker, 黑料天堂. This 1,625-acre park is a scenic retreat set on the banks of Lake Lurleen and offers several recreation and relaxation opportunities. Current facilities include a campground, nature center, picnic areas, play areas, pavilions, a beach and bathhouse, fishing piers, boat rentals and boat launch areas.
